Mandurah Coast

Mandurah is a little over one hour South of Perth. This is a national park area with nothing but bushlands and beach.

I am back to posting!

SO I have been getting complaints because I have not posted in a few days.....
Well I felt like I was going to die after the ABA tour.... Actually I got quite sick-five planes, four hotels, and countless germs from people all over Australia. It took me several days to recover. We traveled South a bit as my colleague was out of town when I got back and we were waiting for new moms as well.

YAY! I got mail !!!

I love Hayley and Mallory, my Drexel co-op students who sent me a great card and my good friends Anne and Desiree who sent me a postcard from Sea Isle!

ABA in Adelaide

Friday the 2nd of March was our last day of the tour. This was held in Adelaide the state of South Australia. The venue was at the Womens and Childrens Hospital. Only about 100 nurses, midwives, and lactation consultants here and only one physician. Two members of the parliment however were in attendance as part of the governmental inquiry into breastfeeding. I had the opportunity to speak with them so that was great.

So after Sydney Olympic Park- which went really well and was the most attended of all the conferences- we flew to Geelong.
Geloong is about 80 kilometers South of Melbourne. My talks here went great and I actually had a lot of neonatal intensive care nurses at this conference. We had a great chat during the tea times and the love our DVD on skin to skin care for ventilated infants.
The hostesses for Geelong also took us to a lovely dinner on the Geelong Harbour that evening - as our flight was not until 9:30pm that night!
